Sunday is Sadie’s 70th birthday. Alex, recently plagued by mysterious and debilitating headaches, brings his girlfriend Tabby to surprise his mother with a visit, only to find their house is already full with Sadie’s much younger boyfriend Ben, Alex’s older brother Nick, Nick’s pet birds, and a new tenant, Mariah, with whom Alex had a confusing and intimate relationship years ago.  When everyone gathers in the old house for a celebration, the ghosts of the past are unleashed and the family’s fragile mantle of well-being unravels.  A play about intimacy, how our bodies struggle to carry psychic wounds, and the danger of leaving these wounds unattended.
